- After you click on an Add to Cart button and you are taken to the order form, click on the gray "Check Out" button that says "Pay without a PayPal account" right below it. The next page says, "Log into your PayPal account". You need to scroll down below the fold in order to see the button you want to click: "Pay with Debit or Credit Card". This takes you to the actual checkout page where you enter your card info and Billing address and ship-to address (if different).
At the bottom of this form is a button saying, "Create my PayPal account for Purchase Protection on eligible purchases." Toggle this button OFF and a new button will appear saying, "Pay Now as Guest". Clicking this button will finalize your purchase.
You DO NOT have to have or create a PayPal account in order to complete your order. PayPal just makes it seem like you do. Nor do you need any kind of "PayPal purchase protection". We guarantee all of our customers' purchases ourselves and do not need PayPal's stamp of approval.
We apologize for PayPal's overly complicated check-out process.
Alternatively, you can phone your order in to us at 941-592-6531. A live staff helmet expert will be happy to take your call, answer any questions and quickly process your order.
- Yes. We sell authentic Speed, SpeedFlex and full-size Replica Speed helmets and Alternates for all 32 NFL teams and 63 Division I College football programs, as well as many autographed vintage helmets at our NFL Team Helmet Store and College Helmet Store.
- Yes. Schutt announced on Feb. 11, 2022 that, due to severe supply chain disruptions, they will no longer be offering college helmets for sale to the public once all backorders have been shipped. Any Schutt helmets currently shown on our site are the last we have remaining. Schutt has not stopped manufacturing the helmets worn by players.
- Authentic helmets feature complete, authentic interior padding. The replica helmets just have molded foam jaw and neck pads so that the helmet looks real from the side when on display. As a result, an authentic helmet weighs considerably more than a replica.
- Short answer ... lawyers and insurance companies. Riddell is required to place "no-wear" devices inside the helmets as a licensing requirement. The purpose is to avoid any injury liability on the part of the school or team if someone wore their helmet and got injured.
- We have never tried, but wouldn't be surprised if there were something on YouTube about it.
- We do not ship outside the U.S. ... however, there is a very reputable package forwarding service that we recommend. They are at www.MYUS.com (short for "my U.S. address"). If you use them they give you a U.S. address at their forwarding warehouse and we ship the helmet to that address (free shipping) and they forward it to you. Another option is if you know someone in the States we could send the helmet to (free shipping) who could then send it on to you.
- The construction and materials in the helmets are the same. Any difference is cosmetic and the result of licensing negotiations with each school. For example, whether the front and rear helmet bumpers say Riddell or the school's name/nickname. Also, many of the small decals on the back of on-field helmets, i.e., conference decals, are applied by the school and are not included on the public sale helmets.
- Yes, if you mean polycarbonate, the same type of plastic that is used to treat bullet-proof glass and that is used for the cockpit canopy of the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor jet fighter. The polycarbonate used for Riddell's helmet shells is chemically engineered to provide the strongest and lightest material possible.
- We will replace any helmet that has mis-applied decals. A bubble in a decal can usually be easily fixed by using a hair dryer on medium heat on it and then smoothing down the bubble using a soft cloth. All decals for each helmet model are the same size and color, so size and color are typically not reasons for a full-refund return.
- Unfortunately, yes. We have seen unlicensed counterfeit college helmets for sale online. These unscrupulous sellers buy blank helmet shells in a team or school's color, slap black market decals on them and sell them to unsuspecting buyers.
